I know that “tear down” is supposed to be a horrific time for the homeowner. All that dust, all that mess. But to be honest, as we dismantle each piece of our kitchen, I’m feeling something closer to euphoria than horror.
Yes, I know, I know…we haven’t gotten down to the nitty gritty yet. Just the baseboards, the chair rails and the odd piece of flooring. It will get worse before it gets better…
It’s just that my current kitchen is in no way a reflection of who I am…and as we tear it down, I feel like I’m getting closer and closer to unearthing the real me…to finding my own personal “oasis” in the place I spend so many hours of my life.
